When I was younger I used to read as if my life depended on it, and I always looked forward to going to the library every two weeks to get a fresh pile of books to devour. My mom has always been an avid reader, and she also used to read to me at night and we would work through book series after book series (Trixie Belden is the best – I still read them when I am looking for a throwback). I kept up this habit all the way through high school until I got to college. Let me just tell you, there is something about required reading that takes the luster out of any book. So, my reading habit died as my college career made me die a slow death blossomed. Last year I decided to restart my habit and bring my love of reading back to life, so I got a library card and started buy cheap used books to add to my collection. One of my goals for 2018 was to read 24 books, and I am currently at 21. So, I thought I would compile a list of my top 10 books that I have read this year, as well as my To Be Read (TBR). Please let me know if you have any suggestions as I am always looking for new stories to get lost in (I am also not opposed to non fiction as you will notice below).
